We are a team of midwives, family physicians and a nurse/lactation consultant who are passionate about providing care during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. We look after patients from the time they get pregnant, during their birth and after birth we care for you and your baby for up to 6-8 weeks. We focus on providing care that is aligned with your values and informed by the latest evidence. At St. Paul’s Maternity Care we focus on the physical, mental and social wellness of our patients and their families.

We are a collaborative care clinic, this means that you may see both a family physician and a midwife during your care. Currently our family doctors provide care during your pregnancy and at the time of birth you may have either one of our family doctors or a midwife look after you. After your baby is born, you may see a family physician or midwife. We also work with a nurse who is a lactation consultant. She sees all our families during pregnancy and postpartum to provide breastfeeding support and more. Collaborative care has many benefits including increased satisfaction of care, increased rates of breastfeeding and increased rates of vaginal birth.

We accept referrals from directly from patients, as well as from physicians and midwives.
